Allendale’s survey finds lowers corn and soybean yields. September 6, 2023
Thank you for all of your help with the 34th annual Nationwide Producer Yield Survey. Over a two week period surveys of producers in 25 states were conducted. We didn't ask about various disease pressures, kernel depth or ear drop. One question was central, similar to USDA's own producer survey. “What is your farm's yield”? The survey suggested a steeper corn yield cut than many would suggest. But it may not be enough to stop lower pricing. It suggested reason for soybeans to hold these higher prices in the near term.
