Avian Flu Confirmed In Missouri March 4, 2022

The lean hog market has finally gotten the message that bird flu in the US is bearish to US hog prices. Another avian flu finding, this one in Missouri, helped to pressure lean hog futures to their lowest level in a month. Today's trade pushed to limit down -4.75 and also closed there. Expanded limits of 7.00 will be in place for Monday.
