Cattle Contracts Push To New Contract Highs

Light cash cattle sales were noted yesterday in Nebraska at $249 dressed. Bids today are at the same price. This would be steady with last week's average. Asking prices are still a bit stout at $255 - $256. There is a report of a $158 bid on a live basis in Nebraska. That would be +$1 vs. last week. In Iowa there were light trades yesterday at $157 and $158. Last week's trade was $157. Dressed trades were noted at $249 yesterday. Bids are posted up to $249 here today. Last week's trade was $248. The general summary for this week's trade would be steady to $1 higher. At this time we have no trades to report in the South. Last week's action was mostly $156.
