Cattle Market Discusses Post-Memorial Day Beef Pricing June 8, 2021

There are some in the trade wondering if the post-Memorial Day period will bring lower wholesale beef prices. The next beef holiday is not seen until Labor Day and the trade expects more than adequate cattle numbers. Given the general expected consumer demand pull, likely to increase into the end of the year, we are not sure. Choice beef was down 1.57 on Friday and 0.38 yesterday. Today's trade is up 0.28 on the morning report.
