Thursday's monthly update from government forecasters still reverberates today. For the month of May they see normal temperatures for the entire Midwest save North Dakota (below normal). Normal precipitation was called for all areas in the Midwest but Wisconsin, Michigan and the Northern halves of Illinois - Ohio (below normal). In plain speak, after our short term period of below normal temperatures ends next week planting will be aggressive with no problem.
