Grains Finish Strong Despite Negative USDA

This week was a clear win for corn. July picked up 39 cents while December was up 28. Both contracts pushed to new contract highs today and also posted a new high-close. Today's strength came despite USDA's reluctance to change the US corn balance sheet on the monthly WASDE. Traders have been reinvigorated with Monday's 27 million bushel Chinese purchase. They expect a few more of those sales in the coming weeks.
