Grains Weigh Weather Risk, Heading Into The Holiday Weekend

Corn ended the week, ahead of a three day weekend, in a better situation than we expected. Believe it or not but July finished the week +49 1/2 cents from last Friday. The best pricing since 4/26, one month ago, was noted. December posted good 29 1/4 cent gains. Also positive for today, it was new crop that posted the bigger gains. This could suggest the market is ready to move on from well-known bearish old crop export and new crop planting to a discussion now focused on summer weather risk.
