Live cattle push to new contract highs. January 30, 2023
Live cattle futures started off with a gap higher in the morning trade and did not look back. April and the deferreds pushed to new contract highs and closed near the days highs. Later Friday afternoon cash cattle sales in the South showed +$1. The prior Thursday trades were mixed. The trade may also have some hopes for Tuesday afternoon's bi-annual Cattle report.
