Long term US weather forecasts show few big concerns. February 16, 2023
The US Climate Prediction Center releases updated long range US weather forecasts every third Thursday of the month. Today's updates continued the general theme of improving conditions. They released a March-only forecast then updates for the following three-month rolling forecasts. For March specifically they see below normal temperatures for most of the Western Cornbelt and Wisconsin. Nebraska, Missouri and bulk of the Eastern cornbelt will see normal temps. Above normal moisture is expected for all except Nebraska and Kansas. For spring planting, April - June, they see above normal temperatures for the East and normal for the West.
