Resistance to further gains for cash cattle July 7, 2021
General free market cash cattle trade in the South moved at mostly $120. This would be even with USDA's "general live average" from last week but under the prices from last week of higher grading cattle. As a reminder, in recent weeks there is as much as a $4 wide trade in "live/fed cattle". This is both due to quality differences as well as North/South. The FCE traded at $120 and $109.
