Soybean ratings jump from good recent rains. Moderate stress ahead.

August 1 - 13 rainfall, weighted among 12 Midwest states, was 3.0 inches. That is double the 1.5 long term average for that time. If you remove the two big rainfall states, South Dakota and Missouri, the total comes to 2.3 inches, still much over the 1.4 average. Considering Friday's USDA report was a yield estimate roughly around August 1 we may have recently added a little yield.
