USDA offers few surprises.

Over 12 Midwest states, 83% of corn and soybean production, rains in July ran 3.9 inches. That number is weighted according to corn production by state. That was just under the norm for last month of 4.2. August 1 - 6 rains over these 12 states, averaged 2.1 inches. That was much over the 0.7 average for that period. July was okay. Last week stabilized the current yield loss or likely added back a bushel or two.
