USDA slashes 2022 pork production estimates

USDA's monthly supply/demand report also holds balance sheets for meats. In today's report they trimmed 2021 pork production by 40 million lbs. to now 28.151 billion. This is -0.5% from last year's production. Of interest, they slashed their 2022 production estimate today by 425 million lbs. That's good sized change for these reports. Now at 28.120 billion, they see 2022 -0.1% from 2021.
