Weather and weekly export sales reverse yesterday’s losses.

A positive 468,432 tonne old crop sale was reported. The trade estimate was 50,000 - 400,000. This was the best sale in 13 weeks. It was +16% from the five year average. The four week pace is -34%. Positive, for five weeks we have separated ourselves from the terrible prior eight week pace. Negative, even after a lightly improved pace and even after USDA’s -75 million bushel change for its whole-year hope, we are still behind. If remaining sales through August run even vs. average we’ll miss USDA’s target by 16 million bushels. If they run -40% the miss will be 27. Allendale is officially -20.
