The closely followed long term forecasts from the National Weather Service/Climate Prediction Center reminded the trade there is reason for a light summer risk. For July the agency suggested lightly above normal temperatures in four of the five Eastern Cornbelt states. Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri would be included in that discussion for the West. Precipitation was seen below normal for the top three corn states (Iowa/ Illinois/Nebraska) as well as Kansas and Missouri.
